4, 5, 6, 8 Periods--WAR PROJECT

WAR PROJECT:

1. Choose a war from your book (Chapters 23-32).

a. Options:

· WWI

· Russian Revolution

· Chinese Revolution (1949-1950)—Look for Mao Zedong in the index!

· WWII

· Korean War

· Vietnam War

2. Use your text to research the history of the war.

3. Create a timeline with at least 6 events. You need to include dates, names, and importance of each event, in addition to what happened.

4. Create a map showing the areas where the war was fought. Include:

· the location and date where the war started

· the location & date where the war ended

· at least two major battles (date & location)

5. Draw a cartoon about the war

6. Choose your presentation method:

a. a pamphlet using unlined paper

OR

b. a poster

7. Due Dates: We will work on this in class today, Friday (5/13), and Tuesday (5/17). If you are going to use outside research, print it out and BRING IT TO CLASS.

a. Have your paper or poster in class on TUESDAY 5/17.

b. Your COMPLETED project is due Thursday, 5/19 (5,6,8) and Wednesday, 5/18 for fourth period.
